Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev met with the Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkey Nureddin Nebati. Press service of the ministry reported.
As noted, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce attaches great importance to the development and stepping up cooperation with Turkey in such areas as trade, investment, and entrepreneurship. The parties discussed the current status of bilateral cooperation, possibilities of its expansion and intensification, as well as the activities of the intergovernmental commission.
Issues of establishment of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Development Fund were considered.
Officials believe that the fund will help build confidence between countries, develop entire sectors of the country’s economy and create economic instruments for introduction of new technologies.
The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund has been operating in Kyrgyzstan for several years. The Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund begun accepting applications for financing, and the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund is preparing for work.
