The president announced on Tuesday that he had signed a resolution on creation of a public commission to study the causes and conditions of the plane crash in Dachi SU village. Sadyr Japarov also announced its composition, specifying that it would study the causes and conditions of the crash of Boeing-747 cargo plane that occurred on January 16, 2017.
The commission, created on the initiative of the head of state, is headed by ex-deputy of the Parliament, public figure Almambet Shykmamatov. He told 24.kg news agency about the priorities of commission’s work.
«Thirty-five people were killed in that tragedy. You remember that various commissions were created, but none of them presented a more or less clear report. Kyrgyzstanis still have two questions — whether there was a smuggled cargo on board, if so, who it belonged to, who covered up this smuggling scheme,» Almambet Shykmamatov said.
According to him, even before this plane crash occurred, two trucks «stuffed with smuggled cell phones» were detained, the cargo was transported from Manas airport. According to Almambet Shykmamatov, «then, by a court decision, this cargo was given to the owners.» He suggests that the flight with the gray cargo was not a single one, perhaps this is one link in the chain of a well-established smuggling scheme headed by some law enforcement officers.
He added that the society is also interested in the fate of the money raised on a voluntary basis by hundreds, if not thousands of citizens to help the victims and families of the victims.
The head of the commission expressed confidence that this time a thorough, impartial and objective public investigation would be carried out.
«All high-ranking officials should finally realize that even the longest day has an end. It’s impossible to deceive people endlessly. Everything will come to light sooner or later,» he said.
Almambet Shykmamatov called the commission he leads «independent and daring».
«The composition of our commission is very independent and daring, I would say. To be honest, having familiarized myself with the composition, I agreed to head this commission. We have a lot of work ahead, about which we will inform,» he concluded.
Boeing 747 transport and cargo aircraft, which was flying from Hong Kong to Istanbul, crashed on January 16, 2017, killing 35 citizens of Kyrgyzstan and 4 crew members — citizens of Turkey.
