Consumer prices as of April 15, 2022 increased by 14.3 percent in annual terms. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
In the post-pandemic period, inflation was growing in many countries under the influence of measures taken to maintain economic activity and failures in global supply chains. Under these conditions, prices are also rising in Kyrgyzstan along with the global trend.
«In light of the ongoing geopolitical events, the continuing rise in prices in the world food and energy markets increases the inflationary pressure,» the National Bank stressed.
