The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved transitional provisions of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on safety of poultry meat and poultry products. EEC press service reports.
Transitional period is set for 18 months - up to June 30, 2024. During this time, production and release into circulation of products is allowed based on the documents issued before the date of entry into force of the technical regulations on the assessment of compliance with the requirements of the Union legislation, including the technical regulation on food safety. Circulation of such products shall be allowed within the shelf life established by the manufacturer.
In addition, before the day of entry into force of the technical regulation on poultry meat it is assumed that together with the EEU countries the Commission will prepare a program for the development of interstate standards. Transitional provisions are adopted for the gradual transition to the requirements of the technical regulations and documents on the evaluation of conformity in respect of poultry meat and poultry products.
