President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Chairman of the Council of Aksakals of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Binali Yildirim. The press service of the President reported.
He praised the work of the OTS and reaffirmed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to develop cooperation within the framework of the organization. In particular, he called on Binali Yildirim to support Kyrgyzstan’s initiative to locate the headquarters of the Turkic Investment Fund in Bishkek.
The sides also discussed intensification of Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation in trade and economic, transport, logistical, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In particular, Sadyr Japarov stressed that Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as strategic partners, should make every effort to develop multifaceted cooperation for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
Binali Yildirim informed the President about the main directions of the activities of the Council of Aksakals of OTS and said that its next meeting is planned to be held in Kyrgyzstan in July. He noted that assistance would be provided for implementation of decisions of last year’s summit of the heads of the member countries, among which is the issue of establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund.
