Over five years, the amount of financial resources allocated for the construction and repair of roads increased 1.6 times — from 10,139 billion soms to 16,543 billion. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
In 2018, the total amount of financing reached 10,139 billion soms. At least 558 kilometers of roads have been built or repaired. It is planned to allocate 16,543 billion soms for the construction and repair of 661.5 kilometers of roads in 2022.
"During the construction of roads, it is necessary to provide funds for creation of the necessary roadside infrastructure, for example, gas stations, WCs, first-aid posts, catering points. To date, the Ministry of Transport and Communications is implementing 11 projects in the field of road construction with the involvement of funds from international development partners.
