Kyrgyzstan lifts mask requirements in educational institutions from March 4

Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held a meeting of the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus infection, at which a decision was made to lift the requirement of mandatory wearing of medical masks in the country’s educational institutions from March 4.

The decision was made in connection with the stabilization of the epidemiological situation. The new rules apply to both schoolchildren and all employees of educational institutions. Compliance with such sanitary standards as frequent washing and disinfection of hands remains mandatory.

The Ministry of Health, together with Presidential Envoys to the regions, was instructed to consider the expediency of further operation of sanitary points on the territory of the border checkpoints.

In connection with the improvement of the sanitary and epidemiological situation, it was decided to stop the operation of previously established private laboratories for PCR testing on the territory of border crossing points.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Ministry of Health, should make a proposal on the relevance of further validity of the government’s order on introduction of a temporary restriction at all border checkpoints of the Kyrgyz Republic.
