A rally against demolition of Issyk-Kul hotel is held in Bishkek near the parliament building.
The participants say that two days ago they addressed a similar demand to the President Sadyr Japarov and the Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev. However, they have not yet received any answers to their letters.
«We oppose vandalism. This hotel could have stood for another 500 years. Why don’t the authorities demolish their White House? It’s convenient for them to sit there; Soviet buildings are solid and safe,» the protesters said.
Earlier it was reported that the demolition of Issyk-Kul hotel started in Bishkek. The Office of the President specified that a building of national importance would appear on this place. The Union of Architects of Kyrgyzstan criticized the idea.
