Deputy Zhanar Akayev was elected a Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan. The decision was made at a parliamentary meeting.
Zhanar Akayev won 62 votes, and his opponent Tazabek Ikramov — 20.
In addition, MPs held a repeat voting for other candidates for the positions of heads of the committees.
As a result, the same candidates won the majority of votes.
Aziz Tursunbaev was elected the head of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Subsoil Use and Industrial Policy.
Meder Aliev became the head of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial, Legal Issues and Regulations.
Daniyar Tolonov became the head of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy.
Committee on Social Policy, Culture, Art and Tourism will be headed by Dinara Ashimova.
Bakyt Sydykov became the head of the Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction.
Suyun Omurzakov was elected the head of the Committee on Law, Order, Combating Crime and Countering Corruption.
Deputies intend to elect deputy heads of the committees and approve the composition today.
