Deputies are to approve the structure of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today. The executive office of the Parliament informed 24.kg news agency.
A meeting of the working group was held on Tuesday, at which it was proposed to create eight committees and elect three Vice Speakers of the Parliament.
Earlier, some deputies opposed the reduction in the number of committees. Adakhan Madumarov stated that earlier, in 1995, there were 17 committees and 35 members of Parliament. However, his colleagues did not support him.
It was proposed to elect four Vice Speakers. It should be noted that the sixth convocation of the Parliament, consisting of 120 deputies, had only two vice speakers who coped with all the work. The Parliament consists of 90 deputies now, that is, 30 less.
