The number of migrants from Kyrgyzstan is the third largest in Russia. Russian media reported, citing the Interior Ministry.
Labor migrants from Uzbekistan became the largest group among the foreigners who came to Russia to work in 2021. More than 3 million people came to Russia from Uzbekistan during the first nine months of the year.
The Tajiks take the second place among the foreign labor migrants in Russia. Almost 1.6 million citizens of Tajikistan came there to work this year.
Kyrgyzstan takes the 3rd place: more than 600,000 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic came to Russia in 2021.
Nearly 300,000 people came to Russia from Armenia, and about 200,000 — from Azerbaijan.
Most of the tourists came to Russia from Belarus — 30,500 people, followed by Germany with 16,400 and Ukraine with 15,300.
Another 60,000 citizens of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan came to Russia to get education; almost all of them wanted to enroll in Russian universities. More than 55,000 students from Kazakhstan came to study in Russia, from Turkmenistan and Egypt — 30,000 people each.
