The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan was instructed to consider the issue of reducing the time for undergoing PCR testing for coronavirus for those crossing the state border from 72 hours to 48 hours before arrival. This decision was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters for combating coronavirus infection.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov instructed to step up measures to prevent the import and spread of the new COVID-19 strain. He stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers is against the closure of state borders, but preventive measures must be stepped up.
Validity of the PCR test for coronavirus in Russia was reduced from 72 hours to 48 from December 8. The rest of Kyrgyzstan’s neighbors have not yet introduced such restrictions.
