Kyrgyzstan ranks second out of 230 countries in the world with the lowest cost of mobile Internet. Israel takes the 1st place in the ranking. A gigabyte costs $0.05 in the country. The most expensive mobile Internet is in Equatorial Guinea, where an average price of a gigabyte is $49.67.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development, mobile Internet in Kyrgyzstan is also the fastest among the countries of Central Asia. In 2021, more than 5.7 million citizens are actively using the Internet in the country — this is almost 85 percent of the population. The average retail price of 1 gigabyte of mobile data in a prepaid package is $0.15 (the cheapest traffic in the country — $ 0.10).
