At a meeting of the Security Council, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov reprimanded the Minister of Agriculture Askarbek Dzhanybekov, the head of Chui region Erkin Tentishev and the Director of the Water Resources Service Almazbek Sokeev for disrupting the irrigation season.
The head of state noted that proper irrigation of the irrigated lands in Chui region has not been ensured in spring and summer. «It came to your attention only when the farmers started resenting,» he added.
Sadyr Japarov stressed the need for early preparation for the irrigation season, adding that the aforementioned officials would be personally responsible for this.
Issues of ensuring favorable social and epidemiological situation during the parliamentary elections, as well as the economic and food security of the country were considered today at a meeting of the Security Council. Its participants began discussing the Concept of National Security in the afternoon.
