The day before, Bishkek hosted tournament among the top-rank athletes, which brought together professional wrestlers. The program included 10 fights with the participation of titled athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
At least six out of ten were elimination bouts. In the weight up to 58 kilograms, Sherzod Kabutov sent Uzbek athlete Laziz Begmatov to technical knockout at the end of the first minute.
Kickboxer Avazbek Amanbekov (Kyrgyzstan) defeated Doston Kosimov (Uzbekistan) as a result of three rounds in the same category.
In up to 60 kilograms category, Chyngyz Begmatov (Kyrgyzstan) defeated Shokhruz Saifullaev (Uzbekistan) by unanimous decision of the judges.
Much more intense was the fight in weight up to 68 kilograms between Abror Khakimov (Kyrgyzstan) and Zhomoliddin Nasirov (Uzbekistan). The Kyrgyz wrestler got a win.
In the weight up to 71 kilograms, Kyrgyzstani Adilet Bekzhan uulu met with an Uzbek Navruz Zhumanazarov. Our kickboxer fought selflessly and also celebrated victory.
In the only women’s fight in weight up to 57 kilograms, Kyrgyzstani Shakhriza Khalilova confidently defeated an Uzbekistani Mukhae Erkinova.
