The former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhantoro Satybaldiev and MP Osmonbek Artykbaev were charged with corruption. Lawyers informed 24.kg news agency.

At least four criminal cases were opened and seven former top managers of the power industry were arrested on the breakdown and modernization of the capital’s HPP, including the former head of the National Energy Holding Aibek Kaliev and the former General Director of Electric Stations Salaidin Avazov. They all are charged with corruption.
The former Prime Minister Sapar Isakov is also in custody. He was also arrested on corruption charges in the modernization of Bishkek’s HPP. Speaking at a trial on his preventive measure on December 18, he said that he was a victim of political persecution. Sapar Isakov will be kept in the detention center of SCNS until February 13.
