State debt of Kyrgyzstan. Each citizen owes $ 710.7

As a result of January-November 2018, the state debt of Kyrgyzstan amounted to $710.7 per each citizen. The debt burden has increased by $ 8 over a month.

According to the Ministry of Finance, as of November 30, 2018, the total amount of state debt (external + internal) of Kyrgyzstan was $ 4,477.43 billion (312,737.32 billion soms). At least $ 3,838.29 billion (268,095.03 billion soms) is external debt and $ 639.14 million (44,642.29 billion soms) — internal one.

For a month, the country’s debt grew by $ 50.32 million. Most of all, Kyrgyzstan still owes the Export-Import Bank of China — $ 1,711.56 billion (44.6 percent of the total external debt).

In November, the state debt of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 56 percent of GDP.

As of December 1, 2018, about 6.3 million people lived in Kyrgyzstan. The average salary in the republic is 15,747 soms. As a result, in order to repay the state debt, each Kyrgyzstani must give 3.15 of his or her salaries.
