President comments on new fines, promises disclosure of new scandalous facts

«There are opinions that some fines are too large. The parliament and the government will consider them, but we must learn to observe discipline,» said the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov at a meeting with residents of Sokuluk district of Chui region.

The head of state focused on the implementation of judicial reform. He noted that from then on, people who have committed violations, especially minors, would not be kept in prisons together with criminals and would be protected from the negative influence of the criminal environment.

«No reform is complete without flaws. However, we must not retreat from the course taken. Criticism is expressed regarding some norms of new codes and laws. They will be eliminated in the course of reforms as needed. But we will definitely implement these reforms,» stressed Sooronbai Jeenbekov.

In addition, he said that the fight against corruption would certainly continue, it would always be a priority for his presidential work. The president admitted that the scope of corruption in the country turned out to be much wider than it previously thought.

«A lot of scandalous facts will be disclosed soon,» he promised.
