Unstable weather will continue in Kyrgyzstan on December 19-20. Snow is expected in most parts of the republic. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, rain and snow are forecasted in the valley zone of Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions. Precipitations will be intense in some areas.
Fog is expected in Chui, Talas, Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad regions along with packed snow and ice-covered roads. Snow drifts are forecasted in mountain areas. West wind will reach 4-9 meters per second, in Issyk-Kul, Naryn regions — with an increase of up to 15-20 meters per second.
Air temperature will drop in Chui, Talas valleys and in Issyk-Kul basin at night to −13 ... — 8 degrees, in the daytime — around zero, in the valley zone of Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken regions at night — to −6 degrees, in the afternoon — to +5; in the foothill areas at night — to −8 degrees, in the daytime −2 ... + 3; in the agriculture zone of Naryn region and in mountainous areas at night — to −20 degrees, in the afternoon — to −5.
The air temperature will drop in the high-mountain regions and Suusamyr valley at night to −25, in the daytime — to −14 ... −9 degrees Celsius.
Such unstable cold weather will complicate grazing of livestock on winter pastures, the work of communications enterprises, energy and utilities services. In case of intensive precipitation, visibility on roads will deteriorate causing difficulties in the movement of vehicles.
