All regions of Kyrgyzstan will mark the World Savings Day. The Deputy Chairwoman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Meerim Momunkulova told at a press conference.
According to her, the main purpose of the event is propaganda and inculcating a culture of savings among the Kyrgyzstanis. World Savings Day is held in the republic for the fourth time jointly with the German Savings Banks Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Science, commercial banks and the Deposit Protection Agency.
«The main theme of the events dedicated to this day is planning the future. This year, World Savings Day is celebrated under the motto «Today’s Contribution — Tomorrow’s Treasure.» This slogan reflects the path of the entire campaign, because the most popular and stable way to preserve savings for the population of Kyrgyzstan today are bank deposits,» said Meerim Momunkulova.
A piggy bank in the form of a white yurt was chosen for children of Kyrgyzstan as a symbol of concern for future financial well-being. This idea is actively inculcated in the framework of initiatives to improve financial literacy among the children.
