Import of 50 tons of fruit from Kyrgyzstan to Russia banned

At least four attempts to smuggle quarantine products of high phytosanitary risk from Kyrgyzstan have been suppressed from September 14 to September 16, 2018 in Orenburg Oblast of Russia. The press service of Rosselkhoznadzor reported.

According to it, 56.98 tons of grapes, nectarines and peaches from Kyrgyzstan, as well as melons of Kazakh origin with an invalid phytosanitary certificate, were imported. The document contained incomplete address of a recipient.

In addition, 350 kilograms of apples were imported without a phytosanitary certificate and marking. It was not possible to establish the origin and safety of the products.

In accordance with requirements of the quarantine legislation, the import of products was banned, the violators were brought to administrative responsibility.
