Employees of the South-Western customs in Osh region detained a Mercedes-Benz car. Inspection found out that the driver was transporting smuggled cargo. The State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The agency specified that fabric from Uzbekistan was found in the vehicle. The owners of the cargo could not provide any accompanying documents.
The total cost of the goods was 500,000 soms. The case file was handed over to the prosecutor’s office of Osh region.
The SCS employees also suppressed illegal import of liquid gas from Tajikistan. Border guards and customs officers detained Renault truck on the border with Tajikistan. The driver was a citizen of Tajikistan. He attempted to transport 7,000 kilograms of liquid gas in cylinders.
According to the conclusion of the experts of the Southern Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the total average market value of the detained goods was 302,400 soms. The materials were also sent to Osh region.
