In January-May, the inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan from the labor migrants amounted to $ 972.3 million. The National Bank of the country reported.
In comparison with the last year, the indicator increased by $ 120.8 million. At the same time, most of the funds have been traditionally transferred from Russia — $ 954.4 million. The USA takes the second place in terms of the volume of transfers. At least $ 9.4 million was sent to Kyrgyzstan from this country.
In May, labor migrants transferred $ 262 million to Kyrgyzstan. This is $ 57.5 million more than in April.
At least $ 196.1 million was sent from Kyrgyzstan to other countries for five months of 2018. Thus, the net inflow of remittances into the country for January-May is estimated at $ 776 million.
