A Kyrgyz citizen, Nurgiza Kulmambetova, disappeared at Istanbul airport. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
The relatives of the missing girl appealed to the Consular Service Department, its staff contacted the Consulate General in Istanbul. An official request has been sent to the Turkish side, the search is ongoing, but
the location of Nurgiz Kulmambetova has not yet been established.According to Nurgiza’s friend, Altynai Usubalieva, the girl was traveling from Toronto (Canada) to Bishkek via Istanbul. The flights connecting time was four hours. «She was not going to leave the airport territory. Last time, she was seen at the gates to the Bishkek flight, but she did not pass the registration,» the friend said.
«Moreover, it became known that $ 60 was withdrawn from her bank card, but for some reason in Ankara, although she did not leave the airport territory, she passed passport control in Istanbul. It is unclear why she did not get on the plane. Her hand luggage with a mobile phone was found at the airport,» Altynai Usubalieva said.
She added that the girl talked to the parents only before departure from Toronto.
