The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Sooronbai Jeenbekov and all citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the 73rd anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Information Policy Department of the head of state reported.
«May 9 is a sacred holiday for the peoples of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. On this day, we pay tribute to our fathers and grandfathers, who fought heroically on the battlefields, selflessly worked in the homefront, who saved the motherland and all mankind from fascism,» the greeting says.
«I am sure that their immortal feat will live forever, remaining a solid foundation for further strengthening of the strategic Russian-Kyrgyz partnership and alliance,» Vladimir Putin said in the telegram.
The Russian President conveyed deep gratitude to the war veterans living in Kyrgyzstan and wished them good health, prosperity, happiness and longevity.
