A heavy grain yield is expected in Kyrgyzstan. Zhigitali Zhumaliyev, head of the Department for Development of Agriculture, Seed and Organic Agricultural Production of the Ministry of Agriculture, informed 24.kg news agency.
«After winter, more than 70 percent of winter crops were in good condition, about 26 percent were of medium quality, and the rest were weak. But at present, the state of winter crops is excellent. They are fertilized in the regions. The yield of grain will be higher than in 2017,» he said.
After last year events, when Kazakhstan closed the borders, the peasants decided to sow more grain, including wheat. Earlier we advised to reduce areas of spring cereals, but to increase winter crops, as their yield is 30 percent higher.
