Approximately 6,000 traffic accidents occur annually in Kyrgyzstan, in which people are killed and injured. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan presented such data.
For 5 years, according to the ministry, there have been more than 7,000 traffic accidents involving children, as a result, 582 children were killed and 8,294 — injured.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, only in 2017, at least 1,432 traffic accidents with the participation of children were registered, in which 104 children were killed and 1,622 received various injuries.
The ministry developed amendments to the government’s decree, according to which it is forbidden to transport children under 12:
— In the back seat of a motorcycle;
— In the truck float body;
— In the front seat of a passenger car in the absence of a special child holding device, which corresponds to the weight and height of the child.
