The European Union does not intend to tell Kyrgyzstan what to do. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belgium Asein Isaev told journalists today.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan has much to learn from the European Union, but the EU supports the path chosen by the republic.
«The European Union is very interested in Eurasian integration. After the meeting in Astana, there was great interest in hearing from one of the heads of Central Asian countries his vision, point of view, and opinion on regional processes. The opinion of the head of Kyrgyzstan on further development of the republic is of great interest to the EU. At the meetings, he assured the European side that he would preserve democratic values, freedom of the media. The human rights are the priority. The way to the formation of a parliamentary democracy will continue. This thesis was perceived by the European side positively,» the ambassador said.
«The European Union has no intention to impose values and standards and tell us what to do. We ourselves have chosen this path. The world is turbulent. An oasis of tranquility in Central Asia satisfies them. They are ready to support Kyrgyzstan in all directions,» said Asein Isaev.
