The head of Toguz-Toro district Tilek Idirisov will be removed from office. The Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sapar Isakov said today at SDPK meeting.
According to him, the head of the district did not take preventive measures in time and allowed the conflict: the local residents set the plant that was being built at the filed on fire in protest.
«I instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs. All those responsible will be punished. Since we are all equal before the law, whether you are a prime minister, a deputy or an ordinary citizen. There are instigators of the conflict that occurred in Toguz-Toro district. I would ask people not to succumb to provocations and do not trust unreliable information. The construction of the plant has been suspended in December,» the head of government said.
Recall, residents of the district oppose the construction of a gold processing plant in the region, which, in their opinion, is harmful to the environment and human health.
