The deputies amended the Law on the National Bank, Banks and Banking Activities. Now the National Bank will get only ten percent of its profit. The decision was made today at the meeting.
According to the amendments, not 70, but 90 percent of the earnings of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, will be transferred to the budget. Such changes were proposed by the Ministry of Finance to increase the revenue side of the budget.
The Chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov, when considering the document, repeatedly noted that the bank did not object to the amendments. After all, profit is not the goal of the National Bank.
At least 93 deputies voted for the amendments, against — 11. The bill was sent to the president for signing.
