Big consignment of drugs seized in Issyk-Kul oblast

A large consignment of drugs was seized in the Issyk-Kul oblast, the press service of the Interior Ministry reported.

According to it, in the course of the operation «Mak-2107», the local resident, 31-year-old Sh. A., was checked by operatives of the department for combating illicit drug trafficking of the Department of Internal Affairs of Ak-Suu district in the village of Otradnoe.

As reported, during the inspection he had two plastic containers in his hands, in which there was a vegetable substance with the smell of wild hemp. Chemical examination showed that the narcotic substance is marijuana.

At control weighing the weight of the substance was 1 kg 350 gr.

In fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 246 (Illegal Making, Acquisition, Storage, Transportation, Transfer without the Purpose of Sale of Narcotic Substances) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is established that the detainee was previously convicted for the crime provided for in Article 367 (Deliberate destruction or damage to military property) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The suspect was left on his own recognizance. The investigation is under way.
