Kyrgyz citizens staying abroad on election day not be able to vote

A citizen of Kyrgyzstan, who turned out to be abroad on election day, is deprived of the right to vote. The Central Election Commission informed 24.kg news agency.

Member of the Central Election Commission Gulnara Dzhurabaeva explained that our compatriot can do his civic duty only if he lives and works abroad permanently, but at the same time he had been registered and had registered his biometric data.

According to the State Registration Service, there are 18,580 voters outside the republic. However, according to the latest data of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation, more than 700,000 Kyrgyz citizens live and work only in Russia.
