Almazbek Atambayev signs agreement on Kyrgyz-Uzbek border

President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev signed the law on ratification of the agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the state border, signed on September 5, 2017 in Bishkek.

The law was adopted by the Parliament on September 28. The discussion took place behind closed doors.

The purpose of the treaty is to clarify and determine the state border line between the two countries.

The document describes 1,170.53 kilometers of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.

The law comes into force from the date of its official publication.
