Prosecutor General's Office appoints check of Naryn Aiyp's articles on Zanoza

The Prosecutor General’s Office appointed check of articles by journalist Naryn Aiyp, previously published on Zanoza.kg website. Representatives of the state prosecution stated this in court.

Three court hearings on the lawsuits of the head of the country’s supervisory authority, which defends the honor and dignity of the Kyrgyz President, are to take place today — one in the morning and two — in the afternoon.

Claims to the article dated October 20, 2015, where Naryn Aiyp wrote about Almazbek Atambayev’s charitable activities and his fund, are being considered now.

«It turns out that the prosecutor’s office checked the information presented in my material and found evidence that it allegedly does not correspond to the reality. We got to know about such inspection only today in court and demanded to present its results. We should have been submitted it before the hearing started," the journalist said.

The Prosecutor General’s Office filed five lawsuits against journalists and Zanoza for three million soms each. The Prosecutor General’s Office filed lawsuits against the head of the legal clinic Adilet Cholpon Dzhakupova, as well as against the lawyers of Omurbek Tekebayev — Taalaykul Toktakunova and Kanatbek Aziz.

The Prosecutor General’s Office intends to recover from the former deputy of the Parliament Cholpon Dzhakupova three million soms, and from Kanatbek Aziz and Taalaykul Toktakunova -five million soms.
