New ID cards contain an electronic chip, which contains personal and biometric data of the owner, as well as an electronic signature equivalent to the handwritten one, the press service of the State Registration Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Thus, all citizens who have received new ID cards will have the opportunity to use various types of electronic services based on the use of electronic signature.
«Each citizen will automatically receive free e-signature keys with a validity period of three years upon receipt of a passport of 2017 sample. After it expires, a new electronic signature can be obtained in any Public Service Center. The cost of an electronic signature for legal entities will decrease and amount to 300 soms per year," the report said.
