A modern logistics center is planned for construction at Ivanovka railway station. The project will be implemented by the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyz Temir Zholu jointly with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Union.
On July 1, the parties signed a mandate letter. The document provides for grant support for the development of a feasibility study for the project.
The meeting was attended by Kyrgyz Temir Zholu management, EBRD representatives, including Melis Ekmen Tabodjer, Managing Director for Policy, Strategy and Delivery , and representatives of the European Union in Kyrgyzstan.
The parties discussed project preparation and further cooperation in the development of transport and logistics infrastructure.
The new center is expected to improve the efficiency of freight transportation, expand the capacity of the railway network, and strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s transit potential.
