647 veterans of Great Patriotic War live in Kyrgyzstan

At present, 647 veterans of the Great Patriotic War live in the republic. Press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development reported.

According to the ministry, there are 176 disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War and 418 participants of the war, 25 juvenile prisoners of concentration camps and 28 survivors of the siege of Leningrad among them.

According to the Deputy Minister Lunara Mamytova, veterans of the Great Patriotic War receive monthly and annual one-time payments at the expense of the republican budget.

Since January 2010, veterans, in exchange for benefits, receive monetary compensation in the amount of:

— 7,000 soms — for disabled veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War, as well as Leningrad blockade survivors and juvenile prisoners of concentration camps;

— 2,000 soms — for labor army members and homefront workers with disabilities;

— 1,000 soms — for widows of the killed and deceased disabled veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War, as well as homefront workers, who have awards for valorous work during the Great Patriotic War.

Lunara Mamytova noted that disabled veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War, as well as Leningrad blockade survivors and juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, began receiving a monthly lifetime allowance of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 10,000 soms.
