Rockfall threatens 7 houses in Lyailyak district of Kyrgyzstan

A rockfall threatens to hit seven houses in Lyailyak district of Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the plenipotentiary representative of the government in the region reported.

According to it, several areas in Ozgorush village, on the 5^th kilometer of Isfana-Ozgorush road and in Tanga area of Katran rural district are threatened by the rockfall.

Four families out of 11 households threatened by rockfall received loans, land plots and resettled, but other seven families received loans, but did not move to safe places.

The head of the region, Abish Khalmurzayev, instructed the local authorities to allocate land in safe places for these families in shortest period of time, the press service said.
