The High-Tech Park regime in Kyrgyzstan is now indefinite. The President signed the corresponding law.
The indefinite tax regime will increase the attractiveness for foreign IT companies to consider the possibility of relocation to the Kyrgyz Republic.
There are 350 resident enterprises registered in the park, employing more than 2,000 people. According to the results of 2022, residents earned 4.2 billion soms.
At the beginning of 2024, the head of the project, Azis Abakirov, emphasized that the export of High-Tech Park companies amounted to $90 million.
It should be noted that the High-Tech Park in Kyrgyzstan has a special legal and tax regime, providing for tax exemptions and benefits on insurance payments for export-oriented IT companies. The previous version of the law established a temporary limit of 15 years, which expired in 2026.
Residents of the HTP are exempt from sales tax, profit tax, and value added tax. Income tax is set at 5 percent. The insurance premium rate for resident employees is set at 12 percent of the average monthly salary.
