A 15-year-old girl was hit by a car in capital’s Dzhal microdistrict while she was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek reported.
According to it, the accident occurred on September 23 at about 5.45 p.m. A Honda Aria was driving north along Tynaliev Street, hit the girl at a crosswalk and fled the scene. The patrol police inspectors and medics immediately arrived at the scene. The teenager was taken to the hospital, where she died without regaining consciousness.
A case was opened under the article «Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of motor vehicles» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital. All necessary examinations have been ordered.
