Acting President of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) Aida Chodulova took part in the forum of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce on signing an agreement with rating agencies to obtain a sovereign credit rating.
According to the KSE, the documents were signed with the internationally renowned American companies Oppenheimer Europe Ltd and Fitch Ratings Inc., whose representatives arrived in Bishkek.
It is noted that the agreement with Oppenheimer Europe Ltd. was concluded by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, including for consulting services on obtaining a sovereign credit rating, with Fitch Ratings Inc. — on the initial assignment of a sovereign credit rating to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Experts believe that this event is of great importance for the investment attractiveness and development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
«A specially formed working group, which included experts from the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange, carried out work to prepare an analytical base and other accompanying documents for determining the credit rating of the Kyrgyz Republic, which will now become the basis for successful cooperation with Oppenheimer Europe Ltd and Fitch Rating Inc.,» the KSE noted.
