Kyrgyzstan’s public debt amounted to $6,362 billion. Such data as of June 30, 2024 are provided in the report of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the official information of the ministry, the external debt amounted to $4,501.8 billion, the internal debt — $1,860.14 billion.
The external debt decreased by $150.8 million. The internal one increased by $232.3 million compared to December 31, 2023.
The public debt increased by $81.4 million. A significant part of the internal debt are loans on long-term securities — $1,838.27 billion (99.1 percent). Most of the external debt is money owed to the Export-Import Bank of China — $1,660.64 billion (36.9 percent).
