Deputies of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan inspected the construction of a bypass road in Uzgen. The press service of the Parliament reported.
Traffic jams in the city are reportedly created by people traveling along Bishkek-Osh highway, and in connection with this, a project for the construction of a bypass road has been developed.
Work began earlier this year. The project, implemented on the basis of public-private partnership, costs $29.4 million. According to construction coordinator Nurlan Sulaymanov, the 13-kilometer-long road will be 22 meters wide and divided into four lanes.
According to the project, two large bridges will be built on Zhazy and Kara-Darya rivers, 77 meters and 197 meters long, respectively. They will change the course of rivers and free about a thousand hectares of land for agricultural needs.
