Bypass road in Bishkek will be made six-lane. The city’s Vice Mayor Zhamalbek Yrsaliev said on the air of Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the project on reconstruction of the road is already ready, the work is being carried out jointly with the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The vice mayor added that the coal and timber sales points previously located along the road have been removed, the area has been cleared.
Road works will begin in the spring and will be completed in the fall, he told.
Zhamalbek Yrsaliev also told about plans to repair the road to GES-5, which connects Lebedinovka village and the bypass road. Instead of two lanes, there will be four with dividing barriers.
The reconstructed road will have pedestrian crossings in populated areas and a lighting system.
