Russian language festival for schoolchildren starts in Kyrgyzstan

The Russian language festival for schoolchildren started in Kyrgyzstan. The information and analytical portal Russia and Compatriots reports.

The event takes place on July 1-5 on Issyk-Kul lake. Organizers are the Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church with the support of Russkiy Mir Foundation.

It is noted that the festival promotes the preservation of the Russian language in the Kyrgyz Republic and familiarization with Russian culture. Children will be able to improve their knowledge of the Russian language in the creative process and, in live communication, trace the origins of the formation of Russian words from the ancient Slavic language, preserved in the form of living Church Slavonic.

Participants will also get acquainted with Russian folklore. The event includes four creative platforms, where children can take part in quizzes and games, attend acting classes and perform on stage, as well as sing and dance to Russian folk music.
