The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan is negotiating the simplification of visa regime with a number of countries in Europe, the Middle East, China and other foreign partners. The press service of the ministry reported.
According to it, signing of agreements on establishing a visa-free regime with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Lebanese Republic in order to simplify the entry procedure for holders of diplomatic and service passports has been worked out in 2022. Visa-free regime with the UAE is extended for holders of service passports, as well as with the Republic of Maldives for all types of passports.
Agreements on establishment of visa-free regime with Japan, Greece and Jordan were signed for holders of diplomatic and service passports in 2023.
Signing of a Memorandum between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service/special passports was discussed in March 2024.
Negotiations with the U.S. side on simplification of visa procedures have been completed.
Agreements were reached with the Kingdom of Thailand, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka on obtaining visas by submitting applications through the electronic portal.
As of July 1, Kyrgyzstan’s passport takes the 68th place.
As of today, holders of diplomatic and service passports of the Kyrgyz Republic can enter, and holders of regular passports of the Kyrgyz Republic have the opportunity to enter the territory of 27 countries without a visa.
