Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov chaired a meeting of the commission to perpetuate the memory of prominent figures of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
About 30 issues were considered regarding the naming of various social and other objects after the prominent figures of the country, as well as the installation of memorial plates on the facades of buildings and residential premises.
Among the decisions made, the commission decided:
- To name Children’s Art School No. 5 in Bishkek after the People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, laureate of the UNESCO special nomination «For contribution to the preservation of traditional music,» komuz player and composer Nurak Abdrakhmanov;
- To name school No. 100 in Bishkek after the Kyrgyz poet Baidyldy Sarnogoev;
- To name Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Bishkek after the first female surgeon in Central Asia, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician Kakish Ryskulova;
- To name the Bishkek City Central Library after the Kyrgyz writer, Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic Tologon Kasymbekov.
