It is proposed to prohibit the distribution of advertising of occult and mystical services (including shamanism, divination, spiritualism, clairvoyance, fortune telling, magic and others) and people providing them in the information and telecommunication network, outdoor advertising, Internet community, on radio and television in Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding amendments to the Law «On Advertising» were adopted by the Parliament in the third reading.
People offering these services are called scammers in the background statement to the bill.
«Having extensive experience in manipulating people’s consciousness with the help of psychology, they predict the future and past of the applying citizen. It’s sad to observe that in our age of high technology and scientific progress, there are quite a lot of citizens in our country who fall for the tricks of so-called psychics and magicians,» authors of the bill write.
