First athlete from Kyrgyzstan qualifies for Paralympic Games

The first Paralympic athlete from Kyrgyzstan fulfilled the standard and qualified for participation in the Paralympic Games in Paris (France).

Gulnaz Zhuzbaeva (blind) with guide Yulia Fernas fulfilled the standard for participation in the Paralympic Games in Paris in Paralympic athletics at a distance of 1,500 meters, running it in 6:18.

The competition took place in the city of Nottwil (Switzerland) on June 6-8.

Gulnaz won one gold and one silver medals.

This is the first blind girl in the history of the country who was able to qualify for the Games.
