Kudret Taichabarov became the head the Tourism Development Support Fund. He posted this on Facebook.
In 2020, after the change of government, he was the General Director of the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ). He was appointed by order of Sadyr Japarov when he was the Prime Minister.
It should be noted that over two years in the civil service, the official more than once turned out to be in the center of a scandal for his statements. In a Facebook post, he wrote that 30 percent of Kyrgyz women, who are staying in Turkey, are sex workers. Thus, Kudret Taichabarov expressed support for the initiative of parliament member Shailoobek Atazov to restrict travel for girls at the age of 18-20 years old.
This caused heavy criticism against him; social media users called on the official not to generalize and not to forget how he himself received the position of head of the state-owned enterprise.
Kudret Taichabarov was also remembered for getting into a road accident. A 21-year-old guy was injured in the traffic accident and taken to the hospital. The head of the Bishkek FEZ said that the young man does not know the traffic rules. The victim’s mother accused the official of lying.
He left the post of General Director of the FEZ in January 2023. He explained his decision by saying that he was tired.
